Presents a heat transfer model of the finite length line heat source with groundwater seepage. Based on the derived analytical solution, analyses the temperature response around ground heat exchangers. Compares the finite length line heat source model with the infinite length line heat source model and discusses the effects of groundwater seepage velocity and other relevant parameters of ground heat exchangers on the heat dispersion. The study shows that the groundwater seepage can improve the performance of ground heat exchangers and increase heat transfer quantity, thereby reducing the initial investment of the system.
